Puppy Apparel On The Rise!

The pet industry from pet food to grooming is booming! Studies show that more than half of American homes have at least one pet and no matter what species it might be they need to be fed, entertained and groomed. According to www.fetchpetcare.com/pet_industry_fact_sheet/ pet industry is up $58.87 Billions in 2012 from the $17 Billions in 1994, up almost $41 Billion in the past 15 years and showing no signs of slowing down! So lets talk about something all pet parents love...Apparel!! With about half of all pets in American homes being dogs its no wonder dog apparel is on the rise.Fall and Winter is perfect time for your puppy to flaunt his or her cute new sweater, booties or collar since in the summer most breeds can't handle being clothed in the heat. The most popular breeds in the city are flat face dogs (Pugs, French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, and Boston Terriers) which for the most part tend to stay indoors during the cities unforgivable summer days. However come fall pet parents break out those leashes and doggie sweaters!

                                                                          Or dresses
Try and tell me this isn't adorable!

Besides the weather being more tolerable for your puppy fall and winter bring holidays like Halloween and Christmas.

Classic!
Just as New York City summers swelter, New York City winters are frigid! Which is why many pet parents not only use pet apparel to make a fashion statement but to protect their puppies from the elements. Toy breeds like Pugs, Yorkies, Shih Tzus, and Chihuahua  tend to need sweaters or jackets for winters walks. Some pet parents choose to shield their puppies paws with booties to keep them clean or as directed by a vet for dogs with concrete or grass allergies or even dry cracked paws. Talk about fashion with purpose!

So you may be thinking...Where can I get some cute threads for my furry friend!? I've got just the right place for you...
